The South Asia Open Archives (SAOA) will hold its annual business meeting in Washington DC on Friday, March 23, in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies Conference. The meeting will take place in the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the “Madison A” Room from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. All are welcome to attend this open meeting.

SAOA member libraries contribute resources for open access projects, infrastructure, and staffing for SAOA through an annual membership fee. The SAOA Executive Board and three Working Groups will provide updates and seek input from attendees.

SAMP's Unique Urdu and Hindi Collections Support Teaching and Scholarship in Devotional Literature, Gender Studies, and the Arts

Prof. Robert Phillips, lecturer for the Program in South Asian Studies at Princeton University, teaches courses in Hindi-Urdu and South Asian Studies, and has used both South Asia Materials Project (SAMP) and CRL resources to support different research, writing, and teaching projects.
