Early records cover the political disorder in Afghanistan; the Afghan King, Amanullah, and his overthrow; and the subsequent recovery of the Afghan capital from insurgent leader Rabibullah by forces led by Nadir Itham and loyal to the Kinc. Also included are documents concerning political activities of the British, Persians, and Soviet Bolshevists in Afghanistan and the attitude of the U.S. Government toward the Afghan King.
