Curzon, India and empire : the papers of Lord Curzon (1859-1925) from the Oriental and India Office Collections at the British Library, London

The papers of George Nathaniel Curzon, Viceroy of India from 1898 to 1905, document aspects of Curzon's involvement with India, including the creation of the North West Frontier Province in 1901 as well as the partition of Bengal in 1905.

CRL owns Part 1 (29 reels) of this set: "Demi-official correspondence, c.1898-1905." This set documents Curzon's correspondence with the Queen-Empress and King-Emperor; correspondence and telegrams to and from the Secretary of State 1899-1905; and correspondence with various persons in England and India. Content is drawn from Mss Eur F 111/135-136, 142-164, 169-175, 181-183, 199-211, 213, 216, and Mss Eur F 112/412-413.
