CAMP Spring Meeting 22 Mar 2014 - 9:00am

The Cooperative Africana Materials Project (CAMP) will hold its Spring Business Meeting on Saturday, March 22, 2014 on the campus of Boston University.
Print serials from the Linda Hall Library of Science, Engineering & Technology are now available electronically to CRL libraries through on-demand digitization and traditional document delivery via the RapidILL service. This special webinar for CRL members offers more information about this partnership and the vast shared collection among CRL and Linda Hall.

SEEMP 2013 Business Meeting 21 Nov 2013 - 12:00pm

The Slavic and East European Microform Project (SEEMP) will hold its 2013 business meeting on Thursday, November 21, in Boston.
In the age of e-publishing and open data, government information and records are being exposed in intriguing new ways. This CRL Charleston preconference will bring together aggregators and re-publishers of government information, and collection development and government information specialists to speculate on where these trends are leading.
The open online distribution of government information is changing the ways researchers access documents and publications produced by agencies worldwide. This Global Resources Forum webinar will explore how libraries can continue to ensure sustained access to this information for researchers, and what role CRL can play in supporting those efforts.
The Center for Research Libraries will present a 60-minute webinar on its Collections and Services on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Central Time. Participation in this event is open to all librarians, library staff, and faculty at CRL libraries.

MEMP 2013 Business Meeting 8 Oct 2013 - 4:00pm

The Middle East Microform Project (MEMP) will hold its 2013 business meeting on Tuesday, October 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Monroe Library, Loyola University, in New Orleans.
This webinar will focus on CRL’s licensing and acquisition programs, including electronic resource offers and the purchase proposal program.
As more researchers embrace text- and data-mining methodologies, publishers must provide flexible and workable terms and utilities as they surmount legal and technological barriers to the new practices. On Wednesday, July 17, CRL will host a webinar to update members on the latest industry developments, featuring speakers from the journal publishing world.
The Technical Report Archive and Image Library (TRAIL) will hold an Information and Update session Sunday, June 30, at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.

The Print Archive Network (PAN) Meeting at ALA is a semi-annual forum for discussion of Print Archiving activities across the United States and Canada. 
Held in conjunction with the ALA Annual Meeting in Chicago, CRL’s Global Resources Roundtable explored current publishing practices and new scholarly uses of news content, and cooperative library strategies to support those uses.
