The Preserving America’s Print Resources (PAPR) initiative stems from a widely expressed need within the U.S. library community to establish a viable national strategy for ensuring the long-term survival of important paper-based library materials.
This year’s keynote speaker was Kennette Benedict, senior advisor on philanthropy at the John and Catherine D. MacArthur Foundation. Dr. Benedict discussed current development agendas in key emerging regions of the world, and suggested roles that North American research libraries might play in supporting those agendas.
