In recent years, CRL’s Area Studies Microform Projects supported the preservation of more than 300 newspaper titles collected by the Library of Congress overseas offices, ensuring scholarly access to more than 450,000 pages of news from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.
The FY2014 ballot for CRL’s Purchase Proposal Program, an annual cooperative collection development activity, is open until Tuesday, November 26.

PAPR Now Offers Comparison Reports
CRL’s Print Archives Preservation Registry (PAPR), a registry of print archives and shared print programs and a database of titles and holdings committed to preservation, now provides comparison reports to aid collection development decisions and planning.
CRL recently reached a milestone: over five million pages of digitized items from CRL collections are now available to CRL members.
SEEMP has preserved the 1971–88 issues of the Zagreb edition of Borba.

CAMP has preserved two newspapers from Senegal, Le Populaire and Info 7.
LAMP (formerly the Latin American Microform Project) has microfilmed seven Bolivian newspapers from the late 19th century.

eDesiderata Provides New Licensing Support
CRL now has a new platform for tracking the status of e-resources under consideration for member licensing. eDesiderata offers a place for sharing information and opinions about e-resources, including content, quality, and terms of purchase or subscription.
