CRL Events at ALA Annual in Chicago

CRL will host several events in conjunction with ALA’s Annual Conference in Chicago, including a Global Resources Roundtable, a Print Archiving Network Forum, and tours of CRL’s facility in Hyde Park.

New 2013 CRL Board Members and Officers

At its recent Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors of the Center for Research Libraries welcomed three new members and elected officers for the upcoming year.

NERL to Move to CRL

CRL and the North East Research Libraries Consortium (NERL), a nonprofit program operating under the auspices of Yale University, have come to an agreement to relocate NERL operations to CRL.  NERL licenses major online products on behalf of 28 member academic research libraries and approximately 80 affiliates, and will be managed as a cooperative program under the CRL organizational umbrella.

CRL Audit of GPO's FDsys on Hold

In September 2012, the Government Printing Office engaged CRL to undertake an audit of FDsys, the GPO’s digital repository for U.S. federal government publications. In December, the GPO terminated its contract with CRL for the audit because of the federal budgetary constraints connected with the “fiscal cliff” and subsequent sequestration.
