1928 anniversary issue of Variety.

Voting has begun on the CRL FY2012 Purchase Proposal Program. Through this program, CRL libraries prioritize microform and reprint collections nominated by member libraries for CRL to acquire. The sets are then added to the CRL collection and are available for interlibrary loan to all CRL libraries. This year CRL has allocated $135,000 for purchase of materials under this program.

Nominations this year include include a microfilm collection of the Central American Archives; archival sets of The Sun, Variety (pictured), and dairy trade journal Cheese Reporter; German women's magazine Die Dame; Russian newspaper Gubernskie Vedomosti; Ukranian newspaper Vechirnii Kyiv; the Peter and Edith Chang papers, and more.

The ballot coordinator at each CRL library has been sent an e-mail message, containing both the URL for the online ballot and a unique, institution-specific username and password. If your institution has not received this message by Tuesday, November 1, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please vote by Tuesday, November 22, to enable CRL to take full advantage of this year’s pricing and to provide advance information on CRL acquisitions for your own institutional planning.

If you have any questions or problems, or for any reason will not be able to honor the deadline, please contact Mary Wilke.
