The Center for Research Libraries will work with the Law Library Microform Consortium and the U.S. Agricultural Information Network to create a sustainable and scalable framework for cooperative archiving of important legacy print materials in the fields of Law and Agriculture. CRL and the partner organizations will work in two domains where major bodies of historical literature have been designated for preservation based on a comprehensive national plan, reflecting the needs and interests of a broad population of researchers, scholars, and librarians. This effort will build upon the longstanding bibliographic, preservation, and digitization programs of two organizations with deep roots in their respective scholarly communities.

The CRL project, “Cooperative Print Archiving by Discipline: Developing an Infrastructure to Sustain Scholarly Resources,” was funded recently by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under its National Leadership Grants program.
