Seven libraries became members of  CRL on July 1. The University of MiamiSouthern Methodist University, Illinois College of OptometryAshland University, Kenyon College, and Oberlin College became voting members, and the Max-Plank-Institut fur Bildungsforschung became a new global member.

Earlier in the year, the University of San FranciscoLuther College, Stanford University, and the University of Lethbridge joined CRL. The new additions bring CRL's overall membership total to 204.

CRL is the world’s largest and most enduring cooperative collection development community. Member libraries pool resources and expertise to identify, preserve, acquire, and share critical evidence and documentation for original research and evidence-based teaching. The recent growth of CRL membership reflects the importance of primary source materials at academic institutions where expectations for faculty and honors-level student research are high.
