Archives of the Khmer Rouge, documents of recent Cambodian elections, Indonesian political tabloids, Vietnamese newspapers from the colonial and revolutionary periods, and other archives will be the focus of a Center for Research Libraries collections Webinar on January 13, 2010. The webinar will survey CRL resources on Southeast Asia, and is open to faculty, students, and librarians at CRL libraries.

CRL staff will discuss uncommon and significant Southeast Asian materials from CRL, including files from the notorious Khmer Rouge Tuol Sleng prison, and political materials from Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.  CRL will highlight recent activities in preservation and digital conversion of resources, and demonstrate ways that faculty and scholars can utilize CRL’s programs and services to enhance research and teaching.

CRL presents quarterly Webinars on the second Wednesday of the month in January, April, July, and October at 1:00 p.m. (CST). The January and July Webinars focus on special subject areas in CRL collections. The April and October Webinars feature CRL’s user services and how-to information for recently enrolled institutions and new staff at CRL libraries. For more information, visit:
