The Area Microform Projects (AMPs) preserve and make accessible to scholars and researchers unique, uncommon, and endangered research material.  AMP participants often work with international partner institutions to safeguard historical documentation and cultural heritage resources, using traditional preservation techniques and, increasingly, digital technologies.  CRL administers and coordinates the activities of six independently governed projects:
