Metadata and Discovery Enhancement Assistant

Part-Time | Onsite – Chicago, IL | Starting Hourly Rate: $18

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assimilate instructions and execute work within established processes, according to directions.
  • Consistently perform detailed and/or repetitive work accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collect and assemble information in an orderly, efficient manner.
  • Must be able to maintain a regular work schedule of between 8 and 18 hours per week within CRL’s hours of business, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Must be authorized to legally accept work in the U. S., not limited to “on campus” employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with computer files and different web applications.
  • Ability to manipulate digital scans such as checking for blurry, missing pages, text cut off, and other errors.
  • Previous knowledge of Scanning microfilm or print materials.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks. 
  • Capacity to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and push a cart containing library materials.
