GCC Description
CRL’s Global Collections Committees (GCC) bring together experts from member libraries and partner organizations to help shape and strengthen CRL collections.
Focused on specific regions, cultures, languages, or collection areas, GCC members advise CRL on collecting, licensing, preservation, and collaborative projects. They also connect members with expertise and resources across the CRL community.
Members can participate based on their interests and availability.
Activities may include:
- Advising on collection priorities and projects
- Serving on working groups or subcommittees
- Developing research guides and project proposals
- Supporting programs and professional development
Each GCC meets virtually at least once a year, with additional work happening online throughout the year.
GCC participation is a CRL member benefit. Member institutions may appoint representatives with relevant expertise.
