CRL-NERL is announcing its latest one-time purchase offer for a variety of East View resources, leveraging their collective purchasing power to help members acquire the resources they want at a higher discount than can be achieved individually.
This is a time-sensitive offer with a firm deadline of May 31, 2026. Institutions can acquire any of the following resources at a discount ranging from 30%–50%, determined by participants' combined purchase amount:
- Global Census Archive-Publications (GCA-PUBS)
- Global Census Archive-GIS (GCA-GIS)
- Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World
- South China Seas Island Disputes (Archive Edition Online)
- Egypt and the Rise of Nationalism: 1840–1927 (Archive Edition Online)
- The Chinese Soviet Republic: Prototype for a Revolution (Archive Edition Online)
Each institution can select its preferred discount level and is only obligated to participate if that threshold is reached. Annual hosting fees of 1.5% of the purchase price will be waived in perpetuity for all resources except GCA-GIS if the minimum spend threshold is met. For GCA-GIS, institutions may choose to receive datasets free of charge via FTP or have East View host the datasets for a 1.5% fee after the initial term.
To participate, institutions must complete an Order Form indicating which discount level they will commit to if specific spend levels are obtained. Order Forms with pricing are available by contacting Licensing@CRL.edu; completed forms must be returned by the May 31st deadline. If the desired discount levels are not met, institutions will not be obligated to make any purchases.
Non-CRL and non-NERL members may participate by becoming a NERL affiliate for a one-time fee of $500.
