The 2026 Center for Research Libraries (CRL) Nominating Committee invites nominations and expressions of interest to serve on the CRL Board of Directors for the 2027–2029 term.

Nominations will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The Committee will review submissions and develop a slate of candidates to be presented for a vote of the membership at the 2026 Annual Business Meeting. Please submit expressions of interest using this form by March 20, 2026. If you have questions or wish to contact the committee to make a nomination, contact members@crl.edu.

CRL is an international consortium of university, college, and independent research libraries, member-governed and built on a simple premise: libraries can do more together than any one of them can alone. The Board of Directors is how that governance works in practice, and we're looking for people who want to help shape what CRL does next.

In this cycle, CRL seeks to fill five (5) vacancies on its Board. The slate of nominees is developed to reflect the breadth of perspectives, expertise, and institutional contexts needed to govern CRL effectively and represent its community. Twelve (12) seats are reserved for heads of CRL member libraries, and three (3) seats are open to candidates from any professional background to ensure a broad range of relevant perspectives and experience. All three of these at-large seats are open in this cycle. Current members of the CRL board are listed here.
