D-18363 This is an extensive collection of newspapers written and issued at the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps. At its peak in 1935, the CCC had 2,600 companies. Many of the companies offered continuing education courses in journalism and English, and many issued newsletters or newspapers describing local news stories, containing fiction, poetry and art, and chronicling the work and recreational activities of the men.

GUIDE: Reference Folder #92 Bouquet was a British army officer in the French and Indian Wars. He was second in command to Gen. John Forbes in the successful expedition (1758) against the French at Fort Duquesne (Pittsburgh). In Pontiac’s Rebellion he decisively defeated the Native Americans at Bushy Run (Aug., 1763) near Pittsburgh. In 1764, Bouquet led an expedition into the Ohio Country that was part of a larger British effort to reduce hostilities with the Native Americans in the West. Following his expedition, Bouquet negotiated a surrender with the Delaware, Shawnee and Wyandot.

C-23780 This is a fiche set based on Kaplan's bibliography which contains over 6,000 entries of American autobiographies published from 1676 to 1945. The fiche set is a selection of 781 titles from Kaplan. Catalog records for the individual titles are being added to CRLCATALOG; ask for any title in scope. This set includes correspondence, financial and business papers, reports and other miscellaneous materials, mostly from the period 1823-1912.

This subset of the "Irish University Press area studies series" covers Brtitsh relations with America (ca. 1840-1900). A significant portion of the set relates to commercial interests between the two nations, incorporating yearly reports of British consulates and legations on the social and economic conditions of the district in which the officer resided.
