Research Support [1]

A librarian, professor, or student can contact CRL’s Mary Wilke [2], with a question or problem. She can help identify:

  • material of interest to the researcher
  • material for classroom use
  • specific pieces needed from a set
  • possible material for purchase using one of the Cooperative Resource Development Programs [3]
  • possible donors to digital projects
  • partners to supply missing material for digital project.

This support has resulted in:

  • Identifying material from the Hamburgishes Kolonialinstitut [4] for a professor interested in German colonialism
  • Identifying English-language Middle Eastern newspapers for an undergraduate class using the Six-Day War to teach historical methods [5]
  • Identifying reels of a missionary archive microform set to be purchased through the Demand Purchase Program [6] for a student dissertation
  • Finding a donor willing to supply missing issues of the Federal Reserve Bulletin [7] for a digital project at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
