Regional and Local French Research Resources

This project, led by Susanne Roberts of Yale University, began to assess North American libraries’ coverage of regional and local French research resources, including publications of learned societies, local institutions and associations, and specialized publishers. North American research institutions and academic libraries can cooperate to ensure comprehensive coverage of such materials as archival inventories and guides, periodicals, monographs, and other formats of value for research into the history and culture of France. The project may begin with a smaller pilot project to develop assessment and cooperation methods and test them in a single region or area.
