Collections as Data: Cohort 2 Summative Forum

Presenters will (1) share their motivation for taking part in Collections as Data, (2) their project descriptions, (3) lessons learned that can benefit the wider community interested in this kind of work, and (4) next steps for their collections as data efforts. MEMP Annual Meeting

The Middle East Materials Project (MEMP) will meet Wednesday, November 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Middle East Materials Project (MEMP) preserves collections in digital and microform format of unique, rare, hard to obtain, and often expensive research material for Middle East studies. It also preserves deteriorating printed and manuscript scholarly materials. The geographic scope of MEMP coverage includes Arab countries, Israel, Turkey, Iran, and related areas not covered by other cooperative materials projects.

2021 CRL Annual Council of Voting Members Meeting

The 2021 Annual Meeting will be a virtual one-day business meeting. Professor Michael Strevens of NYU will deliver a keynote address on his widely reviewed book, The Knowledge Machine (2020), placing his argument in the context of research libraries and archives. CRL will continue the theme of knowledge creation in our CRL programming, leading up to the 2022 CRL Annual Meeting, "Diversity as Knowledge."
