SAMP (South Asia Microform Project) has completed microfilming of six years of the New Delhi newspaper title D’avat, from late 1965 through 1971. This Urdu newspaper covers the early years of Indira Gandhi’s first term as Prime Minister, as well as the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

SAMP’s recent microfilming expands the coverage of the newspaper provided by the project's  earlier microfilming of issues from 1963 and 1965. The Center for Research Libraries contributed all of the holdings for these preservation projects.  The microfilm is now available for interlibrary loan from CRL.
