The Cooperative Africana Materials Project (CAMP) recently approved revisions to its bylaws to enable African institutions to join CAMP for a renewable three-year term at no cost. CAMP members recommend specific African institutions for African Affiliate Membership based on that institution’s history of library collaboration and commitment to the ongoing work of CAMP.  African Affiliate Members of CAMP gain access to CAMP's digitized collection, which is available through the CRL Catalog.

CAMP’s first two African Affiliate Members are Mountains of the Moon University (Uganda) and the University of Cape Town (South Africa). CAMP is actively seeking additional institutions interested in becoming African Affiliate Members.
