James Simon, Director of the CRL Global Resources Network, hosts this online event that surveys CRL news collections, major news databases (such as the World Newspaper Archive: African Newspapers, pictured), and the challenges of preserving online news. Simon will also discuss recent findings from CRL’s new report, “Preserving News in the Digital Environment: Mapping the Newspaper Industry in Transition,” supported by the Library of Congress Office of Strategic Initiatives.

This event is free for librarians and researchers at CRL institutions.
