The Information and Update Session of Technical Report Archive & Image Library (TRAIL) will be held on Sunday June 30, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., as part of the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.  The meeting will take place in Room S505a of the McCormick Place Convention Center.   All new and prospective members of TRAIL are invited to learn more about the project at this open meeting.

TRAIL is an initiative to identify, digitize, archive, and provide access to federal technical reports issued prior to 1975. Technical reports communicate research progress in technology and science; they deliver information for technical development to industry and research institutions contributing to the continued growth of science and technology. These highly detailed reports contain valuable information serving specialized audiences of researchers. While availability to more recent (since 1994) technical report literature has greatly improved with Internet access, legacy technical report documents remain elusive to researchers.
