CRL Board of Directors Chair Virginia Steel (University of California, Los Angeles) confirmed the appointment of three new members to CRL's Collections and Services Policy Committee (CSPC), effective May 2018. They are:

  • Janet Hulm, Assistant Dean for Collections & Digitization Strategies, Ohio University Libraries
  • Mark R. Watson, Associate Dean of Libraries, Research Services, University of Oregon
  • Doug Way, Associate University Librarian for Collections and Research Services, University of Wisconsin

Linda Di Biase (University of Washington) recently retired from her institution, and Karla Strieb (Ohio State University) is stepping down from the committee, effective June 2018, due to other professional obligations. CRL thanks these individuals for their substantial contributions to the committee.

The CSPC is a major component of CRL governance, reporting directly to and advising the CRL Board of Directors on issues pertaining to collections, management of content, and related services. CSPC shapes CRL collection-related policies and priorities and helps set new CRL directions and strategies. The new committee members' terms of office are three years (2018–21).
