CRL Events at ALA Annual in Chicago

Monday, April 29, 2013

During ALA’s Annual Conference in Chicago this summer, CRL will host several events:

  • Thursday, June 27: Beyond the Fold: Access to News in the Digital Age
This Global Resources Roundtable will explore current publishing practices and new scholarly uses of news content, and cooperative library strategies to support those uses.
  • Friday, June 28: Print Archiving Network Forum
Topics for this meeting of the Print Archive Network include property transfer issues for state-owned journals, print archiving for agriculture, and developing patterns in consortial monograph projects.
  • Friday, June 28: Tours of CRL
Librarians and library staff visiting Chicago for the ALA Annual Conference this summer are invited to tour CRL collections and facility. Don't miss this behind-the-scenes look at our closed-stack library of rarely held material from around the world.

And of course, you will be able to find many CRL staff members at the conference itself. For more information about any of these events or how to connect with CRL during ALA, contact Gwen Ihnat.
