The Middle East Microform Project (MEMP) has preserved issues from 1951 and 1952 of the Baghdad newspaper Iraq Times. This MEMP microfilm fills a gap in CRL’s collections, so that CRL now holds Iraq Times from January 1948 through May 1964.

Iraq Times is a vital English-language primary source for research on this volatile era in Iraq’s history. CRL’s holdings of this title cover the transition from British influence in Iraq to the overthrow of the monarchy in 1958 and the rule of General Qasim.
