Call for Participation
The German-North American Resources Partnership depends heavily on the active involvement of library professionals in establishing initiatives and furthering its goals. A significant amount of the Partnership management's work is coordinating and supporting the activities of librarians on an international scale. Individual participation is thus actively solicited and encouraged.
In order to take part in one or more of the working groups, ARL asks that your home institution be a participating Project member. Becoming an institutional member is not difficult, it is open to both ARL and non-ARL institutions, and at the present time there are no fees for participating and making use of the Project's programs. For further information on institutional membership, see How to Join. If you are interested in taking part in one of the four working groups, or even a particular initiative, you may get in touch with the Global Resources Network director to request further information on joining the Project. Once joining there is no minimum level of involvement-- your engagement depends on your own interest and commitment.
You are welcome to look over and read the material found in this site. This site contains minutes of past meetings and reports, and these will provide you with a good overview of the issues that have recently engaged GNARP participants. The activities of GNARP have been organized into four working groups, each with its own agenda and initiatives. Depending on your own personal interest, you may choose to be part of one or more of these groups. Upon contacting the GRN director with your interests, you will be added to the working group listserv and the group leader will be informed of your participation.
