Strong Subject Collections among North American and French Libraries

Coordinator:  none

This project aims to identify strong French collections, strong sub-areas within French collections, and special collections with strong French collections in the U.S.; provide information about the organizational framework of library systems for French and U.S. librarians; and set up an annotated gateway to the most vital French libraries.

Featured: Bibliothèque Bleue

CIFNAL is collaborating with the University of Chicago to add text-searching and analysis capabilities to Bibliothèque Bleue, a collection of fiction, popularized histories, and advice manuals printed in France in the 17th to the early 19th centuries.
