CIFNAL Membership Meeting 21 Jan 2017 - 8:30am

TRAIL Information and Update Session 21 Jan 2017 - 10:30am

TRAIL (Technical Report Archive & Image Library) will hold an Information and Update session from 10:30 - 11:30 am Eastern time on Saturday, January 21 in Atlanta, in conjunction with the ALA Midwinter Meeting.  The session will be held in the Chastain E Room of the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.

The Southeast Asia Materials Project (SEAM) will hold its annual business meeting in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies Conference in Toronto on March 15.

SAMP Meeting 17 Mar 2017 - 7:30pm

The South Asia Materials Project (SAMP) will hold its annual business meeting in Seattle on Friday, March 17, in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies Conference.
This webcast event will explore terms for purchase and subscription access to key Big Data databases, and also will review the problems and challenges academic libraries face in acquiring those resources.
The symposium will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the German National Library during the Frankfurt Book Fair.  Anticipated session topics include: collections and collaboration, digital scholarship, the publishing revolution, new dimensions of service to scholars and students, and new strategies for services and partnerships.

The Cooperative Africana Materials Project (CAMP) will hold its Fall Business Meeting on Thursday, December 1, in Washington, DC.
This webinar will examine how LOCKSS technology and the CLOCKSS model approach the challenges of preserving elusive journal materials, helping small publishers overcome some obstacles to submitting e-journals for digital archiving.

SEEMP Annual Meeting 19 Nov 2016 - 3:45pm

SEEMP (Slavic and East European Materials Project) will hold its annual meeting in Washington, DC, on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. in Washington Room 2 of the Marriott Wardman Park hotel in conjunction with the ASEEES Convention 2016.
The 2016 eDesiderata Forum examines the challenges libraries face in providing for scholarly access to large databases, datasets and other electronic resources in four broad areas: finance, public opinion, population, and geospatial information.

TRAIL (Technical Report Archive & Image Library) will hold an Information and Update session from 1:30 - 2:30 pm Eastern time on Sunday, June 26 in Orlando, in conjunction with the ALA Annual Conference. 

PAN ALA Annual 2016, Orlando, FL 24 Jun 2016 - 9:00am

The Print Archives Network (PAN) forum is always held the Friday morning before ALA Midwinter and Annual conferences. All are welcome to attend and hear about new and best practices from the participating shared print initiatives. 
New tools from Portico enable comparison of library holdings to titles archived in Portico, to determine the completeness of archived content. Speakers from Portico will demonstrate some of these tools.
