Previous CRL webinars on text and data mining indicated high interest among librarians in how researchers use big data and large bodies of text. Looking at the “supply chain” for global data, an October 2014 CRL webinar explored how the Economist Intelligence Unit helps support the complex data needs of academic researchers in the field of international trade and economics.

In this webinar Bobray Bordelon, Economics and Finance Librarian at Princeton University, will discuss the major trends and major actors that have emerged in the publishing of global financial and economic data -- open access and commercial -- particularly data from the developing world.

CRL’s webinars are open to all CRL libraries, their staff, and faculty and researchers. CRL hosts webinars throughout the year. More information on our webinars can be found in the Membership section.
