In accordance with its Bylaws, CRL holds an annual business meeting of its Council of Voting Members, "for the transaction of such business as may come before the meeting.” This is the main annual CRL governance event, at which representatives of CRL voting member libraries review new and ongoing CRL initiatives, elect new Board members, and vote on the annual budget for the coming fiscal year. The 2020 Council Meeting will be held in Chicago on April 23.
Focusing on leveraging member engagement within (and among) consortia, CRL's 2019 eDesiderata Forum will explore strategies to achieve greater scale and strength in collective dealings with producers of primary source databases and data sets.
