The South Asia Materials Project (SAMP) will hold its annual business meeting on Friday, March 27, in Chicago in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies Conference. The meeting will take place in the Missouri Room of the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. All are welcome at this open meeting.

SAMP member libraries fund projects and the acquisition of rare research materials for the study of South Asia through an annual membership fee. Representatives of member institutions meet annually to discuss current and future projects and set priorities for additional acquisitions.

SAMP's Unique Urdu and Hindi Collections Support Teaching and Scholarship in Devotional Literature, Gender Studies, and the Arts

Prof. Robert Phillips, lecturer for the Program in South Asian Studies at Princeton University, teaches courses in Hindi-Urdu and South Asian Studies, and has used both South Asia Materials Project (SAMP) and CRL resources to support different research, writing, and teaching projects.
