Sirwan, a weekly newspaper covering Kurds in Iran, was one of the few newspapers allowed to publish during the Khatemi period of openness (1997-2004). It is mostly in Persian, with some Kurdish. From CRL collections; MEMP project.
In this topical webinar, staff members and guest speakers will address the growing interest at CRL member institutions in the field of Middle Eastern Studies as well as contemporary Islamic studies. Topics will include:
- significant Middle East and Islamic source material from the CRL collections
- research resources available at other institutions worldwide, including digital content
- current collection trends and challenges for small and large libraries
This event is free for librarians and researchers at CRL institutions.
