undertaken by SEAM and will include project summaries and

Arabic Serials from Singapore:
SEAM is acquiring a variety of newspapers
and journals on microfilm from the British Library. Titles
will be cataloged individually.
Philippine Election Material (1930-1990):
From the collections of Dr. Karl Lande, SEAM
will film important material (including provincial, congressional,
and other electoral documentation) that will complement
earlier
filmed collections held by SEAM and Yale University.
Philippine Star
SEAM will acquire the microfilm of this title
from Ateneo de Manila for the years 1986-2007.
From the larger collection of Indonesian newspapers
recently filmed, SEAM will preserve Radar Bogor,
a radical newspaper from the Bogor region, for the years
1999 to the present.
Rajakicc
Cornell holds twelve years (1952-1963) of
this official Khmer-language Cambodian government gazette.
With SEAM's support, Cornell will have these issues microfilmed
and will supply SEAM with a copy of the microfilm.
This newspaper from Maluku, Indonesia documents the tensions
and clashes between Christians and Muslims in the region.
SEAM will film 1997-present from holdings of the University
of Hawaii.
Thai Journals of the 1970's
SEAM will film Michigan and Cornell's holdings of Numsao,
Prachachat, and Puthuchon. These titles are literary and
news publications which give insight into Thailand around
the time of the military coup. Many contributors to these
journals went on to become leading writers in Thailand.
Thuriya / Mandalay Sun Daily
SEAM is acquiring holdings of the "Mandalay Daily
Supplement to the Sun" for the years 1930-1933.
Vernacular Press in the Netherlands Indies (c.
1855-1925)
SEAM will purchase this 94 microfiche set containing rare
periodicals in Malay and other Indonesian languages, including:
Bintang Oetara 1856-1857, Bientang Timoor 1865-1868,
Tjahaja India 1885, Penghentar 1894-1897,
Soerat chabar soldadoe 1900-1901, Bandera Wolanda
1901-1903.
Vietnam Press (Saigon, Vietnam):
Cornell University has extensive holdings of this title,
which was issued in English, French, and Vietnamese and
was a daily record of events in Vietnam during the 1950-1970's.
SEAM will support the filming of this title to fill in gaps
of previous film of the English edition and preservation
of the Vietnamese edition, Viet Nam Thong Tan Xa.
