Newspapers from British Library and Nehru Memorial Museum
& Library
Since 1968, the Nehru Memorial Museum & Library has
been microfilming Indian newspapers to preserve backfiles
and make material available to scholarship. The British
Library's Oriental and India Office Collections contain
a vast wealth of English, European, and vernacular newspapers
from the subcontinent.
SAMP has acquired a number of titles from these institutions
, among others, over the years. The following is a partial
list of materials received in the past decade. Further information
on newspapers held by SAMP can be found in CRL's Foreign
Newspaper Database or in the CRL
