FESPACO 1997
Festival Panafricain Du Cinema
Et De La Television De Ouagadougou
CAMP filmed the following small collection of materials
concerning the 1997 FESPACO film festival held in Burkina
Faso. The materials are grouped in five categories:
A. FESPACO - Information about the festival:
- A.1. 15e FESPACO (22 Fevrier-01 Mars 1997).
Catalogue Officiel '97. Includes details of organization
and judging of the festival, as well as descriptions of
the films under each category.
- A.2. FESPACO Newsletter, No. 00 (Feb. 18, 1997)-No.
09 (Mar. 2, 1997). (Title changes to FESPACO News
on Feb. 25.) Daily newsletter for the festival covering
events and programs.
- A.3. Prix Cooperation francaise pour la production
audiovisuelle: FESPACO 1997. Brochure describing the
award for French-speaking directors from Africa, the Indian
Ocean and the Caribbean for creating artistic works which
contribute to a cultural identity.
- A.4. Communique - Announcement of the winner of the
Prix Cooperation francaise pour la production audiovisuelle
for 1997.
- A.5. Le Cooperation francaise pour le cinema.

- A.11. MICA : 8e Marche International de la TV et
du Cinema Africains. MICA is a marketplace where many
of the films and television programs can be viewed. This
packet of individual sheets contains information about
MICA, lists of films and programs arranged by country
and information sheets on individual films and programs.
