TRAC/TDR Checklist
Trustworthy Digital Repositories Audit & Certification (TDR)
To enable producers, publishers, aggregators, and users of digital content to assess repositories, a number of tools and metrics have been developed by various preservation organizations. The basis for most of these tools and metrics is the Trustworthy Repositories Audit & Certification: Criteria and Checklist (TRAC). TRAC was recently superseded by the Trustworthy Digital Repository Checklist (TDR). The TDR is the ISO standard version and is also known as ISO 16363.
Trustworthy Digital Repositories Audit & Certification: Criteria and Checklist (TDR), based upon the OAIS framework, was developed by a task force under the auspices of the Research Libraries Group (now part of OCLC) and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The final version of TRAC, published in 2007, also draws upon the experience and findings of test audits of several repositories by the Center for Research Libraries in 2005-2006. A successor version of the Checklist, a standard for Trusted Digital Repositories (TDR), is currently being assessed by ISO.

Self Auditing
Repositories who would like to use the TDR for self auditing can use the attached EXCEL versions of the Checklist. Please note that the version available here may is not the final version of the Checklist. Though changes are minor, it is advisable to consult the official ISO version once it becomes available.
